Thanks again everyone, some good tips and real world experience. I guess the bottom line is low miles or not, the cars are old so the turbo's can be bad regardless. How can the turbo's be checked during an inspection? Local to me there is a specialty shop but I am looking at cars in a few different directions so I may have to rely on a Nissan dealer to look at the engine. Would a dealer know enough and how to check the engine/compression, and turbo's? What type of inspections can be done on the turbo's?Test boost levels and look for smoke? Anything else? I appreciate all the help since I'm new to Z's and sorry for rookie questions.
