the caps and then bolting them down is going to add any rigidity or prevent flex. Perhaps if the entire unit was CRC'd as one piece, or if the caps were solidly welded to the girdle (which is presumed to be a more rigid piece than the OEM) this would be true, but I can't wrap my head around how the bolted-down design would improve rigidity. Not trying to argue, but there is no "common sense" justification I can see for this in its present state. Happy Holidays everyone!
