Message yaaay. That's cool if auto makers/consumers wish to install this technology on their own (I remain skeptical that either one poses reduced risk of safety hazards or meaningful enough gains in mpg to be justifiable), but for the government to require it is such a silly waste of tax dollars/resources. Also, how will a camera adequately provide enough blind-spot coverage for vehicles that are hauling trailers? That's one reason why a one-size-fits-all mandate in this regard is idiotic. /Rant
