Subject	Planning new sound system

Message	Got a 94 with Bose. Im going to be replacing the deck and speakers and also putting in an amp. Replacing the Bose boxes with non bose system brackets. Since im running new wires from speakers to amp and patch cables from deck to amp I don't need to mess with positive/negative speaker wires off the deck connection to the OEM harness. The amps "on signal" wire will be spliced directly to signal wire off the new deck. My thinking is to plug the metra harness onto the OEM harness and splice the power, ground, illumination/dimmer, antenna wires into the harness/wires from my new deck. Then tuck away all the remaining speaker wires coming off my deck and extra wires off the metra harness. Is this correct?
