[ http://www.aus300zx.com/forum/archive/index.php/t-310015.html ] Giving away my secrets :rofl: What they actually need is a new tensioner piston assembly with a higher damper rate, the spring strength needs to stay the same but more damping to stop the tensioner collapsing as the cams pull on the belt. This is easily done by changing the viscosity of the oil in the damper OR increasing the size of the piston and bore slightly. I say easily done but you will need some machinery to do this - or subcontract it. I would look at doing it but then someone would rip off the idea = not worth the risk so the solid tensioner mod is the best way around it at present. With the solid tensioner installed you can also fit an eccentric mounted idler on the other side of the belt to give you adjustable advance and retard on all four cams very easily. So there you have it the cats out of the bag but you read it here first :zlove:
