| It goes away above ~2500 RPM? Sounds to me like chatter caused by vibration at low RPM. That low the crankshaft goes through oscillations in angular velocity that can rattle the small amount of lash in the gears in the trans. Higher throttle worsens it. I take it easy below 2500 RPM to try and avoid that. This is part of why newer cars have dual mass flywheels.
