| If you do a sloppy job putting in the seals it's dumb luck because the offset will be different each time. So long as the new seal creates a new groove far enough away from the last one no problem. If the new seal and shaft tolerances are such that the seal is neither in it's own groove nor in the original groove but rather somewhere in between you will have leaks. It's real easy to do. Especially if you put the new seal in exactly the same way as the old one but results in 1mm different offset. You'll never know the difference but you will pull the tranny again.
