So I got a call from the body shop that is working on my car. They called to tell me they lost my (original titanium) key and remote. They've been hunting for it for two days. Best of all, I cannot seem to find my spare. They've ordered up a new remote and replica titanium key, but I don't know if the key code sticker is still under the ash tray or not to have the new key cut. If not, a locksmith would have to disassemble the lock to figure out the pattern. Do you all think it is reasonable that the shop fully replace the full lock set? There is no telling who or where those keys end up. If an employee has them, then all they need is my address and they get a free car. I see a replacement lock set is about $500. How bad is the labor to replace them all? What would you do in my shoes?
