The stock one is known to bend - it is recommended to use a "HD clutch fork kit" which is just a 350Z clutch fork any time you're going to use a more aggressive clutch. Chromoly pivot ball is also a good idea - when you increase the demand of the clutch release/engagement components, there is a tremendous amount of force added to the small surface area on the pivot ball. It's metal-on-metal contact (relies on a small bit of grease) and eventually grinds itself down. There are guys running over 1000whp with this clutch and it still holds great, so unless yours is defective (which I haven't heard any cases of), I don't think the pressure plate is to blame. Are you using a lightweight flywheel? You would improve streetability with that clutch if you retained stock flywheel.
