Message Gray market and chinese knockoff are incompatible terms.

Gray market means it's a legit product but not intended for sale in the region it's for sale in. For instance, colgate sells toothbrushes in India, but surprise surprise most Indians, unlike Americans, are just not going to pay like 8.99US for a plastic toothbrush with a few fancy blue bristles. Colgate sells them for what the market will bear which is MUCH less in India than in the US. Gray market means buying these indian toothbrushes at wholesale and bringing them to the US. They are still Colgate made, but are possibly not the same model as colgate markets in america. You can then sell them for much less then the market price in the US, and much more than the market price in India while still making a nice profit if the importation isn't too costly.

Same thing applies to skylines in canada or australia.

That's gray market. This dealer really thinks the knockoff company has regional products?

If this same nissan knock sensor is used on an economy car thats popular in a country that will not bear the cost of a 100$ knock sensor, nissan may reduce the price in order to prevent people from abondoning nissan as too expensive to maintain, while still charging US dealers almost 100$ for the part.

Putting AMS garbage, and $500 ebay wheels on a Z is like
dressing a Victorias Secret model in a Walmart dress and
Payless shoes. You're embarrassing yourself.
