| What I'm suggesting, because this happens with a LOT of gray market items is exactly this. Nissan does not make parts. They hire 3rd parties to make their parts. 3rd party decides that they could make some money on the side selling said part directly. 3rd party knows: What it actually costs to make the part. What they are actually selling them to Nissan for. What Nissan turns around and marks them up as. 3rd party makes the batch that Nissan ordered. Sends them to Nissan. 3rd party makes another batch for themselves with the exact same materials, labeling and packaging. 3rd party unloads these gray market materials to other sellers who then turn around and sell them on eBay etc. It's the EXACT same part you're buying from Nissan, except it was never sold to Nissan. That's why you see a lot of items, especially from smaller companies that will ONLY warranty their product if bought from certain retailers. Otherwise, they have no control over what was made on the side, but get stuck with the cost of replacing it, even though they didn't see the profit from it. Clear enough? Do you see what I'm getting at?
