All of the hardware in place
Justins OCD wouldn't let him have a single exhuast so we ended up merging into his Specialty Z pipe to retain the cat back
We used a 4 inch exhaust pipe that was oval shaped in order to get it to tuck really nice. This is still in the mock up phase Our custom down pipe heat wrapped up
Starting to get everything wired up
A little more custom work to get the trans to fit properly
Getting the engine configured for its first start
A rare shot of Justin actually contributing to the project.... ;)
In transit to see our good friends at Dynosty for the tune
The final Result
We ended up maxing out the ID1K injectors at this point and were starting to get bottle-necked on air movement as well. The general consensus is that a dyno dynamics reads about 10% less than a dynojet which would put his numbers somewhere in the low 700's on the pavement. We took the car out this week for some test runs...it is an absolute animal and borderline useless on the street. We are going to get new tires and add a traction control system soon and will try to get some vids up.
This has been an incredibly fun project and we have both learned a ton. I am very glad that I got to be a part of it and that Justin had to cover all of the expenses ;)
Once the new shop is completed there should be some other interesting builds coming up.
