Message	a different length of mid pipe (custom H-pipe or X-pipe). They don't use stainless steel inserts from your picture of course but you can care of this if it bother you too much. Cut, remove and reweld and you'll be all set. Replacing these small pieces is a joke and a good shop can do the work for you pretty easily.
