I recently sold a 2004 Volvo V70R to a Canadian gentleman. He flew down, picked it up and drove it home. What he needed from me was: a bill of sale, an original title with my signature notarized, and a "Confirmation that all recalls had been performed" (which had to be provided by a Volvo dealer within 30 days of him crossing the border with the car). I required payment in cash before I would turn over the title. He purchased a 90 day transit tag from the DMV and headed north. I understand that the car has to go through a couple of inspections once in Canada to be licensed and has to have daylight running lights.
