Message pivots - basically the motion the bearing is designed to allow on midori-style arms. The second axis is a lateral axis where the arm would be allowed to twist slightly under duress due to bushing flex. This movement absorbs suspension energy and if it is eliminated, that energy is absorbed elsewhere and can cause all sorts of issues like premature component wear and poor performance.
