Message right, you take it to people who are experienced.

1) I made sure to install only parts that have been historically used in the Z community and are known to not be fakes or knockoffs. I will not cut corners or buy copies of parts in order to save a few bucks.

2) Bringing the car to a reputable shop for installation, repair, and maintenance is a plus. My mechanic is the only one that touches the Z and has over 20 years of experience and 10+ in Zs alone.

3) I knew that bringing my Z to SZ would not be "cheap." You definitely get what you pay for. I expected a lot of time to be spent on the pre-inspection prior to the test and tune session. It was through the pre-inspection, that a few minor issues were detected and corrected. That will make the difference between your car running reliably at higher power levels and blowing up when you jump on the gas.

4) The pre-inspection not only protects you (the owner) from premature engine failure but also protects the shop. As a shop owner, who wants to deal with a customer coming back and "claiming" that the shop caused an engine to blow up.

5) Greg and Seb are a class act and second to none. Greg has an established history of tuning Zs and other cars. His knowledge is bordering on legendary and many here will vouch for him and his team. I know that I can confidently run boost on pump gas and also on 100 octane without worrying about engine failure. There is a price point for quality parts and quality labor. At times, exorbitant rates are charged for quality labor but SZ charges fair prices for what they do. Cheap and reliable do not go hand-in-hand. You are certainly entitled to your opinion and FMICs do work. But Greg mentioned that there were leaks on one side.

In conclusion, you have your opinion and we on the forums would not intentionally try to steer you wrong. You get what you pay for and I am happy with the genuine parts that I purchased and installed on my TT, happy with the work from my mechanic, and happy with the pre-inspection and final tune from SZ.
