Been at this for a long time, and with the opening of the business Houston Z Auto, this project got set back... way back! But im finally finding some time lately to make some progress on this. Im really starting to miss bring my own Zs out to events meets and shows. Selling my first 1995 TT conversion off to fund the shop. There is a lot more things i wanted to do, but at some point i have to draw a line so i can actually finish and enjoy the ride. its been down a year, i pulled out the na engine and placed it in a customers car that needed it, having built this engine years ago waiting to go late. We build our own engines now but this is actually a Z1 built engine with an o-ringed block, that knocked from previous owner over boosting, then rebuild with new rods, crank, etc over at IPP about 4 about years ago! i had originally built the direct port nitrous hidden under the lower intake but then decided it would be a bitch to tune and re-jet and check leaks. and im going back to the drawing board on doing everything up top on a test plenum (have to find point of entry and proper angle to the valves) any now here a little info on the set up: ks turbos Msp manis Ep racing pan houston Z oil cooler system (thermostat oil cooler and filter relocation for ep pan) Nismo 740cc 300degree rails Ash planner and smic pipes direct port nitrous I'm still in need of an ATI damper pulley i would have preferred sard/PE/border 850cc injectors and i might go with AEM EMS but I want to see what functions we can get out of the Nistune and continue studying, developing, and programming the flexfuel features.
wasted time:
After this is tied up or at least running i have to switch get back to my 1994 slicktop that is in the process of be built into a vg NA track toy. Maybe a LS or TT vg down the road after a few more innovations.
thanks so far to: Kyle at IPP Nick at CZP Ash at ASHSPECZ Ryne Theis for the beautiful SMIC pipe polishing BDE for making it a few pounds lighter
