Beyond the basic "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" line of thought I'm curious about the advantages/disadvantages of throttle-by-wire (electronic) compared with our stock throttle-by-cable setups (manual). It seems that many newer vehicles go with the throttle by wire setups which allow for cruise control to be managed electronically. At the same time I've heard of many tuners converting their modern cars back to a cable-driven throttle because of a better foot petal feel. Are there any other considerations? I'm asking because of random thoughts passing through my head of both the new billet throttle bodies and also the intake manifold prototype that Ash is supposedly working on.
