Message	I keep repeating myself and this is the last time I'm going to respond. You're measuring the distance from the top of the clip to the bottom. If the top of the clip was the part that held the trim down, this would make sense. But it isn't. The arms that stick out the side of the clip are what holds the trim in place, and these are significantly different between the black and white clips. I can't help you any further, at this point nobody can. Cheers, JBrobst
