Message NisTune - Realtime Nissan Tuning System , E85 and launch control ENT files now exist for Nistune Z32 and SR20 users. Houston Z can update the ENT file on your nistune board to support these capabilities. Support will spread to other ECUs .

Zeitronix ECA gauge can be used to send ECA feedback to the ecu. No more map switching, or pulling out the laptop every time ethanol content changes pump to pump. No more worrying about blends or taking long trips in our E85 Z32s

Aside from Zeitronix ECA systems, Nistune will be producing there own module that mounts inside the ECU that will be more cost effective than using a Zeitronix ECA. This module will be released around 6 months from now.

Since 2008, Dane Miller at Houston ZAuto has been the first US Nistune distributor and is the main distributor for Texas. We have done several E85 builds ranging from 493whp on stock turbos to 500 plus whp on gt2560s!

If you would like a Nistune for your Nissan contact Dane at Houston Z, and stay tuned for E85 flex fuel development.

-------Launch Control-------

Launch control has been added to Nistune. In the current version it utilises Nissans fuel cut facility by adjusting the
RPM limits until the desired trigger has been reached

Enable launch control in the Feature Control Flags panel. This will provide the ability to use the following Launch
Control (LC) parameters in the ECU.

Triggering
There are two forms of triggering launch control
1. Speed triggering
Launch control is automatically activated from zero speed, and the limiters remain in place until the launch
speed is reached. Adjust the speed to increase/decrease the point at which the engine can rev freely

2. External switch triggering
This can be used independently or with the speed triggering.
The existing power steering input line to the ECU will be used for the launch control triggering.
To disable speed triggering, increase the launch speed to maximum value.

Jeff Callaway answer:

Wiring External Switch Trigger

Wiring external trigger between ground and power steering line

S14 SR20DET, HCR32 RB20, BNR32 RB20, Z32 VG30 etc
Pin 19 – HCR32 / BNR32 / Z32 VG30: Power steering switch trigger
Pin 34 - S14 SR20DET: Power steering switch trigger
Pin 59 – Ground

S13/S14A/S15 SR20DET etc
Pin 43 – S13/S14A/S15: Power steering switch trigger
Pin 39 - Ground

Cut the power steering line at the ECU and connect to a shielded cable with shield connected to ground. The switch
can be operated by clutch or otherwise. A momentary push of the switch will enable/disable the launch control
output.
Trigger Operation
When launch control is triggered, the check engine light will continuously flash quickly until the termination
condition is met.

Trigger switch operation will activate launch control when vehicle speed is at 0, engine speed is under 1200rpm and
the switch has been pressed.
Once activated, once the switch is pressed again over 1500rpm the launch control will be deactivated and the check
engine light will cease to flash. Also if you wish to use trigger speed in addition, you can set this at a desired speed to
deactivated launch control once the speed has been met.
Note: Trigger switch will allow the user to operate launch control in vehicles without a speed sensor connected Page 16 of 19

Launch Control Parameters

The launch rev limit will cut fuel at the specified engine speed. The cut performed will replace the vehicles soft RPM
cut limit until launch control is deactivated.

The launch ignition retard rev limit will cut ignition timing at the specified engine speed. By default this item is
deactivated (being set at 8000rpm maximum RPM)

When this limit has been reached the launch ignition timing retard will instead be used for off idle timing. It means
that the current timing will be what you set in this field.
WARNING: Using low ignition timing can cause high exhaust gas temperatures . Be very careful when using low levels
of ignition retard. At this time it is not possible for the Nissan ECU to do negative timing (after TDC)
