With great success on polishing two plenums, two sets of Ash piping kits, and numerous throttle bodies and balance tubes under my belt already (and a year of my life gone), I've began contemplating making an effort to polish my four OEM TT rears. Overall, they are in Excellent condition for a 20+ year old wheel, and after polishing multiple raw aluminum Semi wheels in the last six months, I believe the simple five spoke design, with smooth contours would make it relatively easy to work on.
I've been quoted $300 a wheel locally by two different outfits to have them refinished and chromed, so worst case scenario, I've knocked down all the texture and provided a better surface for that process. Any input is appreciated.
