Message	issue but the first time I resealed my oil pan with new half moon seals front and back I only applied rtv at the edges like the fsm shows and it resulted in a small oil leak at the back. Maybe I miss understood the fsm? The next time I resealed the oil pan I put a bead across the whole length of the rubber seal top and bottom and never had a leak again.
