After blowing a turbo seal on my e85 stock turbo build, I figured I'd do a general health checkup on the car before deciding what the future would hold. After reaching operating temperature, we pulled the coils and plugs to find this.....140 140 140 140 140 135. Puzzled as to how the car could produce over 500whp with such low compression I began reading up that bad valves could produce lower numbers... Dyno tuned, my cars sweetspot was with my BDE intake cam gears advanced 2 degrees on both sides. Degreeing back to zero, and rerunning the test.. 150 150 150 155 150 150. Much better! I had plans to replace the motor anyways when I added the GTXs in the near future, but atleast now I'm sitting on a healthy motor, rather than a junk core. Just thought I'd share my experience.
