It's with great relief that the current oil sample came back aok. The oil was changed after I finished the clutch job last year. I put only 150 miles on the car before the turbo blew. I sent in the oil sample in the off chance case something more significant was wrong with the engine that caused the turbo to fail. With regard to the oil system there are only 3 things I speculate could have contributed to the turbo failure: 1. Non-stock oil filter 2. Wrong weight oil (previous owner used 20W-50) 3. Low oil level If I had to guess I would say low oil level masked by the shitty OEM oil pressure sensor and gauge contributed the most to this turbo failure, but that seems to be a real stretch. I'd pulled the dipstick many times over the past year but have been very confused in its reading... especially after putting new oil in. ConVerTT, et. al. do you have any other ideas?
