Message	To be clear, I wasn't inferring that I would absolutely need to "use" a gun in Canada or that I would bring one in the event that I went there (since it's illegal). I would carry a hammer with me everywhere if loose nails suddenly started robbing/killing innocent people at random, but I don't see that happening any time soon :) I prefer to be able to effectively defend my life if I have to. The alternative of helplessly using my hands to block a bullet/knife/blunt object or running away/hiding doesn't seem as effective to me.
