They ALWAYS ask me what type of modifications i've done to my car, and I say it's pretty stock, just intake and exhaust. Unless they are truly car enthusiasts, they have no idea what they're even looking at and they really don't care. I've had WAY more problems coming home to Canada than entering the States, which I do about 3x a week. I always put my radar in my glove box when crossing the border and unplug it because sometimes it goes ape shit picking up random signals and the last thing you want is BRRRRRRRRRRRRRR while talking to the guard. In short, YOU'LL BE FINE. I'd be more concerned if you have anything on your record or if you're bringing anything in with your luggage. They may pull you over, have a quick look, and find nothing. A waste of 30 minutes to an hour, but you'll be fine. Also, in Canada, you may find some Kinder Surprises you may find cute and awesome for kids. Don't buy them and bring them back to the States. Every so often, there are news stories about someone that decided to bring some home and got knocked $5000 per egg, plus a flag on their record. Don't be "that American" that we laugh at. It's a "concealed surprise", which in post 9/11 means an uh oh for you. Negligence is not an excuse at the border.
