Message "One of the ones I look at is, if you are running a fuel pump at max voltage the pump is pulling max current"

Obviously you know WAY more than I do about all things electrical (which is why I mail my parts to you) but I am not sure if I agree.

From my understanding when you are supplying 12V to the Walbro it isn't pulling max amps. The amp load will be at ~14. Then as the FPR raises pressure in relation to boost the pump will begin to draw more amps in relation to the increase. I have actually hooked up a data log to a fuel pump during WOT pulls to look at the amperage increase vs load.

Here is how Walbro rates their pumps.

Please let me know if I am missing something.

Thanks!
