Message	look like under speed 3. That looks more like a heat issue leading to the metal becoming brittle and fracturing off. I can't tell from the picture, is there any room between the syncro and spline of the speed gear? Have you tried filling the tranny with the front wheels lifted, it allows you to overfill which will keep the gears from becoming dry into corners or up hills.
