Message I've seen a lot of builds with very minimal work to the crankshaft. Anybody ever knife edge their crank? Was the driveability on the daily quite horrible? Already have lightweight pulley, flywheel, and aluminum driveshaft.

Also, I understand what knife edging does, but how do they balance the side with the piston and the rod after shaving so much off the counterweight pancake thing? I know I could ask my machine shop, but might as well talk about it for discussions sake.

Anyone also polish the block's "interior" removing any casting sand? Seems like overkill to me.
