finally done pulling the motor to replace the turbos. pulling out of the garage i found the driveshaft giving the heatshield some love taps because i had installed the CSB spacers correctly; removed the heatshield(P.O. had them installed as washers, not spacers and this explains why...) had a lights/power flicker issue when under load on the test drives after getting it together. turned out the battery was completely fried(4 year old battery), couldnt read a charge but luckily was at NAPA when it wouldnt start. work done during the pull: silicone vacuum hoses(ready to T in a boost controller) silicone heater core hoses silicone turbo couplers turbo coolant hoses(soon replaced with silicone) rear main seal pilot bushing throwout bearing resurfaced flywheel o2 sensors knock sensor turbos (ZDREAMZ) manifolds (ZDREAMZ) SZ high 5 clutch (Nick@CZP) CZP ECU deleted EGR, PRVR, & CC (AIV's were removed by P.O.) removed busted PS Pump(surprisingly makes it easier to turn at low speeds than having the bad pump in the car) removed cruise control(motor died on it a week before pulling the motor) previous maintenance(about a year ago): 120k timing belt kit + ramey z idler studs + jwt vtc springs silicone pcv hoses & new pcv valves preexisting mods: megan racing down pipes megan racing test pipes - swapping with cats(ZDREAMZ) once i get someone to heat up and remove the aiv bolt to plug 'em) borla exhaust HKS megaflow intake single SS clutch line (removed factory lines from the bay) ralco short shifter(if you consider this a mod...)
