| Usually the blue wire (or is it the blue/white? Forget). Personally, I never wire mine to go up and down. Makes the Z look like a toy car when it's up. The little nub, coupled by the "helper" antenna on the hatch above the defrost lines is sufficient enough, at least where I live. Then again, I almost exclusively listen to satellite radio nowadays so who knows. The adapter you speak of is just to connect the adapter to any aftermarket head unit. You need it and it's cheap.
