sooty as hell..... I had a custom 2.5" exhaust on my Z before and had the same soot problem till I moved the tips further away from the bumper, now since I put a new 3" catback on it's getting sooty because the tips end before the rear bumper, if I went further away from the bumper or extended the tips out further I bet I wouldn't have any soot just like before....... with that being said, people don't challenge me as often because they know "something's up" (people even ask me at the lights how much power I'm making) not that I like the way it looks, I will eventually address the issue, but for now it serves as an effective street race deterrent. Basically no cats + safe tune + short/close tips to the bumper = sooty bumper. My Z was tuned by Ztuner and the afr's stay in the mid 11's with a high 10's tip in according to my wideband.
