Message Those are the best videos of "active" shaft play that I have ever seen. Very nice work on the in car vids!

I am surprised how clean the turbo looks. No sign of oil or coolant leaks? Are you sure the oil and coolant lines are not plugged? You may want check your lines carefully if you are going to reuse them.

I guess my point is: Despite great diagnostic work, you are not done. You know it failed, but you don't know why yet. I would take out the ChRA and see what else you can learn. As I already said - I would look at the lines too - too clean.

PS - probably obvious but CHRA replacement is not a good option with those housings now. That said, finding decent used housings is pretty easy and replacing the CHRA on one or both turbos would free up budget for things like a fresh harness and 120k maintenance and such. I might even have a set kicking around.
