Message When I bought my TT, it was overheating. It ended up being a bad fan clutch. Do this: drive the car to operating temp. Turn the car off. Spin the fan and fan clutch. It shouldn't spin more than 1/2 a turn or so. Mine was bad and kept spinning several rotations. The tension gave up in the fan clutch and it spun freely when the car was off, thus not sucking in as much air into the engine as it should.

When I replaced the fan clutch, it went back to normal and the car didn't overheat. I was using Datascan to read the temps. You can search my post history in technical if you want to see my posts on that. I may have had the screenname PakiHomBoy back then. Good luck.
