Message I must disagree with two of your points:

-If you must modify your car, do stage 3 and be done with it.
-If you must go crazy like I did with mods. DO ONE MODIFICATION AT A TIME!!!!! Doing 50 of them at a time is ok when you have nothing else to do. All of a sudden though, life comes and you realize that you have no effing clue how to put the car back together lol.

I think it's a question of focusing on one area. For example, if you want to do body, focus on the body, get it done, move forward. If you want to focus on engine & power, plan it and execute.

It makes sense to do several mods at one time that go into one area so that you maximize your time. For example, upgrading turbos, you may as well do the manifolds, downpipes, etc at the same time.

It all comes down to planning and then executing. Focus in, get the job done and then enjoy it. Then if there is another area you want to mod, do the same.
