I'm not sure how it is even possible for you to have that experience with the AZZC Wilwood front BBK. Sounds like inappropriate pads used or not bedded in or something was wrong. How do you know they overheated? Did you get a temp measurement?

I have some pretty serious track time on mine and experienced absolutely nothing even remotely close to what you describe. 100% confidence-inspiring braking all day every single time out, including in 100* ambient temps at Hallett Race Circuit in Oklahoma, which is quite harsh on brakes with a few high speed downhill sections ending in hard braking zones. I used Wilwood high temp (Q-compound?) pads up front with Hawk Blues on the OEM rear rotors.

I even went to Spa-Francorchamps one time out on the Wilwood street pads and managed less than heavy duty braking without experiencing brake fade.
