The car was a 1980 black with gold pinstripes and gold accented wheels, 5-spd, 280ZX with T-tops. It was love at first drive. Picked it up with ~115K on it for $2800. The rocker panels had been replaced recently, and the paint didn't match the car too well, so we took it straight to Earl Scheib for a full respray (I was in college, not a lot of money to spend). Besides a bit of orange peel they fixed it looked great. I built a huge 7 ft^3 4-order bandpass box for two Kicker C12's that sloped to fit the hatch and ran then on a Punch 150 bridged mono from an Alpine tape deck. I could play Techmaster PEB or DJ Magic Mike and make various body panels vibrate to the different frequencies, lol. Looked like this car here: 1980 Black and Gold 280ZX
