| Make sure you got that motor in there good and the motor mounts torqued all the way down. The FSM has torque specs, but I didnt see how it was possible to get my torque wrench onto them. I chased my tail for a while trying to figure out a mild drive shaft vibration and it turned out is was at least partially a result of the motor mounts not being torqued down enough, combined with sagging transmission mount, which affected driveline angle just enough to cause a mild but noticeable and annoying vibration at highway speeds. I wouldnt freak out about it now, just torque them down good and tight, maybe get a thread count off a Z that hasnt had the motor pulled to use as a reference....and if you run into a vibration (assuming you didnt change anything else out in the drivetrain) then you know where to look first. Let the paranoia begin!
"What a curiosity our new political correctness has made of our public spaces. Let your sex tape loose on the Internet and be rewarded with your own TV show; photograph a crucifix in a jar of urine and our museums will vie to exhibit it; occupy someone else’s property and you will be hailed by the president for your keen social conscience. But call people who blow up, behead, and mutilate, “savage” — and polite society will find you offensive." --Jared Silverman "Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery." --Winston Churchill "When the people find that they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic." --Benjamin Franklin "The last official act of any government is to loot the treasury." --George Washington END THE FED ....learn why, in 42 minutes Full Pardon for PFC Bradley Manning |
