Message I'll try to be brief. Didn't like the anemic "beep" of the OEM horns. Bought Hella Horns. Same "beep" but louder. Few years later bought (2)Compact Italian Air Horns. Each came with it's own relay. Instructions said you could wire 2 horns to one relay, so I did. Few days later, no workie, relay failed. Used 2nd relay and all is good. Sometime later, no workie. Bought another bigger relay (40amp). Works but not as loud as before. Turns out 1 horn completely failed. Sent both back to Griot's Garage.
Back in the day, I had a 78'Cadillac Seville that had GREAT Horns. So I plugged that into EBAY and it turns out that the new replacement for a 78'Cadillac horn is the same horn that Chrysler Honda Ford Toyota PickUp Trucks use. It's a 2 horn setup (High & Low tones) only $34.95 free shipping. They are small and fit into the OEM locations, use no additional relays and are louder than the air horns. 1/2 the price of the Hella Horns, 1/3 the price of the Air Horns. Order from AM-Autoparts/PO BOX 286/Pepperell, MA, 01463 email Service@AM-Autoparts.com Parts Number 1AEHN00004 & 1AEHN00003 Sold as a Kit. I tried to put up a link to the audio I recorded of the horns, but couldn't make it happen. Any help with that would be appreciated. The FAQ instructions didn't work for me.
