I need to replace my hood (some of you may remember the fire I had a year ago). Wondering whether any CF hoods are worthwhile, after investigating the durability (due to heat exposure, fire, chemicals etc.). Or is it better, not to mention cheaper to stick with a stock Al hood? If I go CF, I will still paint it- so the main benefit I'm after is that it would be dent-free, as opposed to a used hood, which will almost undoubtedly require some paintless dent repair. Update- after buying a new house by a lake early last year, it took until very recently for me to afford to restore my fire-damaged Z. Hopefully, I will get it back on the road by January!
