It's really not a tough job, it's mostly time-consuming. You could get away with just a standard metric tool set, a universal wiggler joint, some extensions, the engine hoist, a decent jack and some jackstands. Typically a dented pan does not independently cause a leak, but the oil pan gasket is a common leak point on any car.
