Message	Second skin audio makes great thermal insulation. If your that concerned pull out the carpet and install it evenly across the tranny tunnel. You could also purchase the gold heat tape from jegs, summit, speedway, etc. Clean the tunnel really really well from the underside. And neatly apply the tape. I believe you can get it in very wide rolls.
