The car circles that I travel in don't think much of the KYBs that are so popular here, in fact, the common opinion is that they are for riceboy hondas that want mad tyte adjustable suspension and a crappy harsh "racecar" ride. The popular street shocks are Koni Yellows and Bilstein HDs but I find very little on them here. It doesn't look like there is a native HD installation for the Z, but it looks like all that you need is a housing. For the next four years or so, I think that coilovers would be a little overkill, as school will be keeping me from spending money at the auto-x. I need to refirb my suspension, but don't really feel like dropping a grand on coilovers.
