Subject	AVC-R install question - ground wire setup

Message	Howdy all - I removed my sub-harness, which had a direct tap in extension for the AVC-R setup. Quick question from the wiring diagram in the AVC-R instructions: When I tap into the ground for the install, should the connection between the two wires be broken? Or, should I only tie into the line at the 2 separate points leaving the original connection in tact? The install is a bit unclear, and searching has been unproductive..... See below pic, should I cut the line and tie off where the arrow is or only tap into that line with both grounds?
