Hey everyone, Finally got all of the equipment for my sub install. For the amp power wire, however, where should I route this? I've read of going behind the passenger fender, through a grommet, and through the door sill, but I don't like the idea of having nothing but a splash shield between that wire and the elements (I also noticed sand back there). There is already an empty hole towards the driver side of the car from the brake master cylinder and booster for some reason, perhaps a previous amp install, the goes right into the driver compartment. I would like to use this, as it keeps the power wire under the hood, but am concerned about the large amount of heat our engines generate. I plan on routing the wire at the very top of the engine bay along some of the other wires that are already there, so it wouldn't actually touch the engine block. Will this heat be enough to melt wire coating or affect it in any way? Thanks much!
