| adopt someone else's abortion, put a motor in it, make sure it looked outlandish to get attention, and then claim it was all being done for "innovation" and the "future of the markets"? Their promo vid was so full of it. If the markets are all heading to smaller displacements and smaller cars, then why are all of Nissans vehicles in their largest market upsizing displacement year after year? We are now in year 8 of volatile fuel prices post-katrina. Yet Nissan continues to offer at least as many bigger and heavier vehicles as the token "green car" they have to pump out in order to stay within the graces of government bureaucrats and dopey followers of this pseudo-religion who have disposable income. Don't get me wrong, I think it was neat to see something unusual looking out on the track, and I would rather see the "deltawing" than no Nissan entry, but when I saw the clip of the wreck, I'm sorry but the very first thing that popped into my mind was "that was bound to happen" due to its shape. Had it had a traditional front wheel/suspension layout it may not have been in a blind spot....or the toyota driver just didn't even look and would have hit the eifel tower had it been there. I guess it just seemed to me that after I learned a few details about the car and its apparent history, that it was less of a serious entry and more of a publicity stunt.
