Message + the OEM automatic radiator with the tranny cooler being used as a oil cooler.

Coolant temps: 180-195 MAX no matter how hard I try @ 25+psi.

Oil temps: 195-215 MAX, despite 100+F of ambient Texas heat on the street or track.

**All I did was remove the Aux fans.

I have the selin intakes with jwt filters.

No ducting @ all. So there is big gaping space of fresh cool air flowing through the front bumper, through the condensor, then through the oil/coolant radiator.. Heck I even have my oem fan shroud removed for the time being, and it still performs outstandingly; sitting in traffic an all.

Most thought I was crazy for trying this, but it works perfectly.

-no warping due to excess oil heat.

-only cost me 15$ in supplies/hoses from O'Reily's.. (What external setup on the market can match the performance of these seemingly inferior OEM parts performance output in this configuration?) Zero to the best of my knowledge.

-I even run a heavier weight oil 20W50.

**So I have essentially made a "mini" version to the discontinued SPL integrated radiator setup for $15.00 :) hahahaha

The key is providing as much FRESH air through the radiators as possible, having a SUPER thick core,ie: koyo, mishimoto,etc... Doesn't neccesarily mean it's "better". A thinner core, where it can dissipate the heat faster as air flows through it seems to perform better. (I believe Greg Dupree even made a post a while back noting how the OEM radiator fin design for heat exchanging is superior to many of the BIG thick crap cores that guys think perform better with larger capacities, and though generally speaking this is "good".. You can potentially get better cooling from a thinner core like OEM, as long as you provide adequte fresh airflow through it) Bigger isn't always better fellaz. (Ooops did I say that out loud, sounded very bent writs fag-like) lol

Anyone got a full SPL setup to compare our cooling notes??

:-P
