Message 1. Do a serious background check on the shipper. if you can't find a ton of GOOD reviews, don't get them.
2. ask them to send a copy of the bill of laiding that they will make you sign BEFORE they come to pick up your car. Don't sign anything that says 'we are not liable for damages blah blah blah'
3. Take lots of pictures of every square inch of the car and go over any existing damage to the vehicle (Scratches/digns etc)
4. buy a second ECU or a second chip with a 3500 Rev limit and a 40mph top speed. if you can't get one, contact Ztuner@ztuner.com, he can make you one i'm sure.
5. disonnect the boost controller brain.
6. take pictures of the odometer, all the lights EVERYTHING. a lot of times the bill of laiding they make you sign is PURPOSELY vauge so that they can say that the scratch you acknowledged on your front bumper was really your bumper being torn off when they unloaded your car from the truck.
7. if they seem shady, DO NOT ship your car with them.
8. try and do business with a shipper who's base of operations is in YOUR state... that way if you have to sue them it can be done in state... because if you have to go out of state to sue them its just not worth it usually.
9. TBH, if its possible, even if it will cost slightly more with a plane ticket, just drive the car.

this is all coming from someone who got as fucked as one possibly could by a shipping company.

my car was taken for a 50 mile joyride, the spun a rod bearing, cracked my third brake light, tore my jspec bumper and put a few other dings in it. the name of that shipping company was Westcoast Cargo... btw.
