Message cooling air in this testing is that the fan clutch varies the amount of torque applied to the fan dependent on the temperature its bi-metal control spring is exposed to. This creates an additional variable in the test that will skew the results.

In this testing, we are using a fixed amount of energy input into the electric fan. The variations in the fin designs of different radiators is going to have an effect on how much air will be drawn through the ambient cooling fins, but variations in cooling fin design/densities/etc are also going to have an effect on the radiator's cooling effectiveness. The idea with this testing is to keep all of the other conditions static for all tests with the radiator itself being the only variable in the test.

Now as for what our final kit will have to offer for shrouds, we will have options for either an e-fan + shroud OR a new shroud that can be used with the OEM mechanical fan.
