I'm not much of a mechanic...I'm looking for recommendations on Z shops in the Chicago area. I have a red 92 TT (with Stillen stage 5) that needs a new rear spoiler and all new speakers installed (already replaced head unit then found that 3 of the 4 speakers weren't working).
I had been taking it to Ultimate Z in Streamwood, but it seems they are out of business? I love this car and don't want to take it to a random shop. I'd like a shop that comes highly recommended, of course!
Thank you.Separately, I also have (actually it's my dad's) a 94 TT with less than 8K miles up for sale. That's right, less than 8K...he hardly ever drove it and is now retired and doesn't plan on driving it anymore. It's red with Stillen stage 5 and 3-spoke wheels. Has an aftermarket CD-changer. All the rest is original. Perfect condition. He's asking $25K. I'm not sure if this is high or not. He did turn down an $18K offer. I can have pics sent to me to post or send to you if you are or know anyone who would be interested. But I'm also trying to gauge for him if $25K is a fair asking price for a 94 with so few miles. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.
